I just built an Ax throwing target. I plan on using it as an attraction at my Jack & Jill. If anyone has a soft wood log between 2 and 3 feet in dia. I could use a 2 or 3 foot length to make an even better target. I am also looking for a decent ax to use. I bought a couple that the internet said were the best. But they are not!I just might end up using an Eswing or something similar. You cannot view this attachment.

I went to an axe throwing place in RI the other week for the first time. Was pretty interesting but I'm far from being good at it.

I have found it takes practice! But once you find the sweet spot you can stick them pretty regularly.

I have been to a few commercial places that offer this for various occasions, most recently the Oyster Fest in Norwalk, and I have never seen the metal axes in your pics. They all had wooden handles. Dunno if that makes a difference. I absolutely suck at it. It definitely takes a "touch".

Congrats Joel, I hope you have a great party!

We have a commercial place in Southington, Montana Nights. They use all metal Estwing Tomahawks that you can get at Lowes or Home Depot.

Estwing are the best for sure. All metal so they don't break. But at $40 each was a bit high for my needs.  Mine are Harbor Freight $10 axes that weigh the same and work just fine.
