Yes it is excellent the have great information on the state laws.
However to check reciprocity I find us concealed carry better.
I use one for laws the other for reciprocity.

USCCA has an excellent reciprocity app that shows you not just what states honor which permits, but what also highlights their respective laws concerning not just firearms but self defense in general like stand your ground, castle doctrine, etc.
