Regular trading session in the stock/option markets; 1600 hours.

"power player", yes, that's me alright.
Well, even being a small fry, my small sum can find work when I can't (not that it matters anymore; I'm no longer looking...).

Ha! I always knew the whole humble demeanor thing was just an act.  I kid of course.  In all seriousness, I should learn something more of the regulated gambling upon which life hinges.  A little discipline and a few hundred dollars invested would be a decent start to one more chapter in learning the ways of the world I suppose.

It does appear to be close to gambling, especially with all of the computers trading via algorithms and such like.
Unlike the roulette wheel, where you're simply playing odds, as a stockholder, you are part owner of an entity that has the ability to create wealth by creating a product or by providing a service. This does not guarantee you will increase your wealth, of course, as many companies fail or liquidate. As a shareholder, you also have the right to vote on company matters as well as receive dividends (distribution of profits), if the company chooses to distribute them.
Bonds, on the other hand, represent a loan. If you own a bond, you are merely loaning your money to the government, municipality, corporation, etc., in return for a set term of interest and ultimately a return of your principle.
The way I look at it is, I won't be able to work all of the time, but there's always a time when your money can work for you.
Now, let's go shoot off a few rounds with all of the ammo that our last dividend check purchased...

Looks like a fine day to hit the range.
Added a string of water-filled cans to the target mix, so come on up and rupture some cans before they go into my recycle bag.
I'm going to load up some eco-.308 Winchester loads for the FR-7 and have a go at them. See how many times I can hit the string and knock them all to the ground...

...well, I managed to hit some cans and avoided hitting the string. Oh boy!

Pictured is my former pistol pit, but the can thing is similar.

Wow! The little 71gr .312" diameter bullets really explode the water-filled cans. Loaded into the 7.62x39mm, they cycle just fine in my neighbor's SKS. Can't say what the load was, but I wanted to pop off some odds and ends that were hanging around my collection. The cast 130 grainers weren't loaded stoutly enough to cycle, so the SKS became a bolt gun for those ten rounds.
Those SKS rifles pretty much digest everything without a hiccup.
Sorry, no pictures today.

Is that the range we can hear from your house sometimes? Doesn't look familiar. Wait... what's with the snow? I've been out of town for a week, did I miss something?
But it will be like teaching a pig to sing, a waste of your time, and you'll only succeed in anoying the pig.

The snow shot is at the old location in N.S., yes. Closer to the garage, not the actual pistol pit where you shot before.
Ashaway Sportsman's Club is heard from here.

The second photo looks like the Glastonbury range.
"A golf course is the deliberate and willful misuse of a perfectly good rifle range."
