Looking for a marketing intern.
« on: January 04, 2020, 09:13:27 AM »
Alrighty then.

Our business has grown to the point of where I need a marketing "intern".

The position is paid, part-time and you'll get gun shit for cost.

I'd rather grow my business with someone that wants to be here, than hire a firm that gets paid to pretend to be passionate about this shit.

The Paladin alone took over 100hrs of fitting work, of development, of slide fitting and finding the right parts...Could I have just edited a Glock 19 and called it a day? Sure...But, I'm not about to "b*tch out" and release that shit with my name on it...I'm going to manufacture a product that I feel is worth releasing.

The Defiance took us over 100hrs because we had to redesign a handguard, re-work the engraving...Then test the parts...Ugh.

Bottom line, I'm one person. I don't have the time to market my product on top of creating it.

We need a human that wants to come to Oxford, be a part of the team and grow with the business.

Need someone that can answer emails, push our product, understand our product, deal with distributors, not be intimidated by the LEO/Mil that walk through our door, be considerate and friendly; be a team player.

Major bonus if you can put together a Glock, an AR...Know your way around an 870 and a 1911. If not, we'll teach you.

Record must be clean - We're a military facility.

Dog friendly - There are now 2 dogs that call Smith Tactical home. Both are extremely friendly.

I don't have the resources currently to offer a full time, paid/benefits position. The individual being hired is considered an outside contractor and thus, will be 1099'd.
