All I can say is that in the past I got a discount when I picked up my ammo. That was before they moved to Cheshire.  When I last ordered I bought 3k of 9MM and 3k of .45. This is my yearly supply. I was given no discount for picking it up. Same price delivered as picked up. So let them spend the money on shipping and I will save on time and gas. If shipping is $50 they could have cut my price by $25 and made me happy. That way the could have put another $25 in the till instead of giving all $50 to UPS. But that is their choice. Except for special occasions and odd calibers I buy my ammo in bulk. This way I have it when I need it and don’t have to go out of my way to find it and buy it.

That is odd or just wrong. If they'll pay the shipping on an order of 1k rounds then they should cut you a break when you save them that cost by coming in to pick it up.
I love CT. I've lived here my entire life, it's all the socialists and libtards that I hate.

Believe me when I say that I am so cheap that a  small discount would have been worth the 2 hrs and maybe a gallon of gas It would have cost me to pick it up. Time can be arranged. Gas is cheap. Money just burns a hole in my pocket. So I am sure I remember it right.

Foolish behavior like that can harm a company especially via word of mouth. It makes no sense, poundwise and penny foolish IMO.

Exactly what I said on the previous page. Even though I literally drive right past them once or twice a week I am not picking up my ammo if it ships free.

I don’t agree. Well your right it makes no sense. Cut the locals a break.  At least on multi case orders. But Their prices were good enough to actually buy the goods. The customer service was good. This is no reason not to buy from then. It’s just a cheap old curmudgeon complaining about not getting a discount. But still found the price worth paying. Also remember it also keeps the economy flowing with shipping dollars.

In addition they have a club that you pay to join and you get club prices. I found that the ammo cost the same if I bought into the club or not. The club price saved me enough to offset the cost of the club. It was a wash and a no brainer. Now that I am a member I can buy at the lower price for a year. So for higher volume shooter than me it would be a better deal.

Nope nothing wrong with Target Sports.

I like them too. I belong to their Prime. I have saved the cost of membership already. I joined again back in Feb when I saw the COVID was heading our way. Target's prices are pretty good not always the best but the free shipping and 8% discount make them competitive. I try to support local if it makes sense. Since they do not discount the shipping anymore I just let UPS bring it.

Guys, I just meant to inform you that they have resumed order pick up, not to get a brawl started.
For the time being, it looks like the old 14¢ per round ammo is now at 20¢ per round.
Surprise!

It’s not a brawl Just a bit of bitching. I did not mean for it to become the subject matter.

I’m still a fan of Target Spors and I will still buy from them
