Well....for my 12.5" 1/7 barrel, I've been using the Federal 62gr .223 rounds I got off Nuke. According to the Barrel Twist charts I've seen. A 1/7 barrel is supposed to get the best accuracy from a bullet 69gr or heavier.

In actuality, my experience to this point has been more than satisfactory for the ranges I've shot so far (HD to 100yds). So my take is that unless you are a precision shooter or hunter, does it really matter on a rifle that will more than likely be a self defense weapon if you can hit man sized targets all day long in the 9/10 ring?
